“Kathy was a 5th-year Museum student who lived around the corner from me in Cambridge. I knew I would be doing a poster for the Dead and after having made a short 8mm film of her lying nude on a table, I told her I wanted her to be on the poster. She handed me this image of herself and I thought, ‘right on, how appropriate.’ She was an unusual woman with a dramatic flair.”
