This poster marks the final week at the Fillmore West, concluding the original poster series. Commissioned by the dedicated staff of the Fillmore West, it holds a special place in history as the ultimate piece in this iconic series. Notably, all 500 copies of this poster were presented to Bill Graham on the evening of the venue's last show, making it a poignant and cherished memento of that significant occasion.
Originally, this collection was offered as part of a complete set consisting of 66 posters. The set comprises 59 single-format posters, each sized at 14 x 22 inches, all thoughtfully arranged and protected within a custom-made wooden box with dimensions of 1 3/4 x 14 3/4 x 23 1/4 inches. Notably, this distinctive box was skillfully handcrafted during David Singer's collaboration with Jana Friedman, the daughter of the renowned rock poster dealer Ben Friedman.
In addition to these single-format posters, there are 7 double-format posters, each measuring a generous 28 x 21 inches. What sets this collection apart is the exceptional detail that each poster within it is a one-of-a-kind artist's proof, personally signed in pencil by the accomplished artist, David Singer.
