Concrete Foundation of Fine Arts Show San Rafael 78 Ryan
About this poster
This lithograph was done in 1978 for a joint show at the Peanut Gallery in San Rafael, California, which was a large building housing the studios of Kelley and Mouse, Victor Moscoso, Dave Sheridan, Pat Ryan, Larry Noggle, Tim Harris, Linda Miller, and Enid Hansen. This poster was featured in the first “Art of Rock” book from Abbeville Press published in 1987. The print is a signed and numbered edition done in 1978 with 9 wet-signed artists’ signatures; Pat Ryan, Dave Sheridan, Alton Kelley, Stanley Mouse, Victor Moscoso, Tim Harris, Larry Noggle, Linda Miller, and Enid Hansen.
Artist Dave Sheridan’s wife Dava provided some illuminating additional commentary: “Dave did all the faces here, because he did did the best faces. Concrete Foundation of Fine Arts CFFA, I was there. Larry Noggle is standing behind Stanley. He did The Trident in Sausalito art. Famous hang out of many musicians and artists! Enid Hansen was a costume designer, Lizard Loungewear and the late Linda Miller holding the peanut Gallery flag was a jeweler. She also, I believe is holding a torch which she had started a small fire by accident. Hence why they added that to the poster. They all rented rooms/art studios in the building. The Peanut Gallery on B Street.”
