About this poster
While the Fall hits my eye, my allegiances lie with the summer, and your face.
There are a few references that tie this in to the overall story of ALL the 311 posters I've done (nine years now!). It revisits the "90's couple" from a couple of the past posters. So they're out on a rooftop, sun setting on an autumn evening, a long day together skating, and a quiet moment to just 'be' together. He presses play on the 311 mixtape, and she embraces him -- it's their song. Meanwhile, next to them is a little miniature narrative of their day together. Them skating with their friends, taking photos, vibing. The deck that's leaning against the roof edge becomes a ramp -- and the print on that deck is the "Tiger of Clarity" (specifically from the 2014 poster). And in the bookbag is their snowglobe, the one that's always near them. Plus a “Western Auto" sign in the distance, big ups KC!
