About this poster
A year ago I finished printing my first poster. I’ve been producing gig posters since 2016, but this was the first one I printed myself. There was a heatwave in LA at the time and it was 110 degrees in my garage. I made big mistakes at every step of the process. I printed 3 of 4 colors directly on my table, ordered the wrong paper, didn’t register my screens even remotely accurately… etc, etc. Despite all that, it still felt like a huge win. I keep this misprint pinned to the wall behind my press to remind myself how far I’ve come in my first year. Looking forward to continuing to refine my skills in year 2 of this wild journey.
