DERO: East by Jermaine Rogers marks the return of the artist’s iconic Dero character in an East Asian–inspired setting. This composition features two panda-like Dero bears with glowing red eyes and mischievous expressions, positioned among bamboo elements and symbolic motifs.
Part of Rogers’ long-running Dero mythology, the figures are disguised as giant pandas—covert operatives working in plain sight. Along the side of the image appear four Chinese characters—怒 (anger), 協 (cooperation), 平 (peace), 權 (power)—representing opposing forces and balance within the Dero world.
The “Liars” variant is rendered in a striking black, yellow, and red colorway, emphasizing contrast and tension while amplifying the slightly menacing tone that defines the Dero.
