About this poster
My first kiss was at a summer acting camp, aged 14. She introduced me to The Cure. They quickly became my favorite band. In 1988, I hung their poster on my bedroom wall. Designing this poster to commemorate their Philly show is a teenage dream come true. The poster depicts Robert Smith – in the same pose as the poster from my bedroom – at the top of The Rocky Steps, just like Sylvester Stallone, looking out toward the world of possibility ahead. The orange is inspired by the Flyers who play at Wells Fargo Arena.
