About this poster
This is an original one of a kind sketch comp that I created for the Dead & Company and my idea for the poster I was asked to make for them back in 2017. This was one of two rounds of sketch ideas. We started with this version but made a few changes and worked the idea to where it finally ended up. So this is the first of 2 sketch studies we tried before agreeing on the final direction, but is really close to the final image. This is a rough pencil sketch on 8.5x11 inch, 24lb printer paper. It is not the final ink drawing used for the final poster. They approved this sketch and I went on to ink it up and make the final poster.
