About this poster
Here's the diptych I made for The Avett Brothers shows in New Orleans today and tomorrow. The inspiration for these posters came while listening to their music and realizing how most of their lyrics were focused on life lessons and wisdom for daily living. This then reminded me of the old adage: "Before enlightenment; chop wood, carry water. After enlightenment; chop wood, carry water." The imagery of chopping wood and carrying water just seemed to make a lot of sense for a two-image diptych and the down-home wisdom they sing about. - TG
