About this poster
Bonnie MacLean gave a nod to two contemporary cultural trends, the Nehru jacket of the well-dressed hipster and the psychedelic pattern of the fabric, to advertise British group Pink Floyd's appearance at the Fillmore.
While the featured act on this poster, Pink Floyd did not perform... they were stuck inside of London with the ‘Frisco blues again, trying to get visa issues straightened out. Big Brother and the Holding Company filled in for them on these dates. Pink Floyd would finally make their first SF appearance the following weekend. They missed the Thursday and Friday shows at the Fillmore, but opened for Big Brother and the Holding Co and Richie Havens at the Winterland, on Saturday.
