The Songbook Series continues with the Jupiter poster!
“As always, this poster fits into the big story between ALL the other posters -- specifically, this one has the same characters as the 2018 St. Paul, MN poster.
Everything takes place in the mid 90's.
The left side (New Haven) is in a record store (filled mostly with records and cassettes), and she is looking through the 311 section. The new album "Transistor" just came out, and the store has lots of posters and stuff to promote it (plus other 1997-relative stuff).
The right side (Hampton Beach) takes place in a 'corner store'/bodega, and he's standing there, heart racing, turning down the volume on his walkman (listening to the same mix-tape as the 2018 St. Paul poster). The magazines on the rack in front of him have 311 on the cover to promote their new album "Transistor". And all the other items in the store (trading cards, potato chips, ice cream pops, etc) all have 311-references.
These two are falling in love with each other, with music as the tie that binds them. And the lyrics from the Song Series play into each piece, and really bring it all together.” - James Flames
