“They’ll be no second chance for you!” This poster design was a huge opportunity and I couldn’t blow it. It had to be rock and roll. Fucked-up, rock and roll. “It’s Gonna Be A Long Night” is one of my all-time favorite Ween songs and I wanted this poster to reflect that song’s vibe. I have a long running gag with a local Asheville painter, stage manager and good friend, Stuart Engel. He made a folk art painting of Mickey Mouse dressed like Alice Cooper. One of the fucking funniest paintings of all-time and I busted his balls about it for a long time. We continued to make abstract and folk art Mickey’s… Here we are about 6 months in the future, official rock and roll art, haha. This poster was hand-drawn with pencil at size on paper, and then traced in illustrator. The majority of the typography is hand-drawn. Psychedelic-punk-rock, yeah!" - JML
