About this poster
On January 13, 1967, The Charlatans performed at San Francisco’s Avalon Ballroom with Moby Grape and The Sparrow (later Steppenwolf). Titled Moby Grape, this poster is the 43rd release in the Family Dog series. Artwork by Alton Kelley and Stanley Mouse features actress Alla Nazimova in an unused still from the 1923 film Salome.
This OP-2 printing omits the printer’s credit. Both OP-1 and OP-2 are considered original printings.
