About this poster
On occasion, Moehring’s posters bordered on illegible, most notably a piece for a Strawberry Alarm Clock show in January 1968, which promoter Boyd Grafmyre couldn’t read.
This poster design was the result of Grafmyre instructing Moehring to create something in black and white that was readable. Readers familiar with psychedelic posters will take note of the notation in the upper left that reads “The Quick and The Dead,” first used on the FD-12 Family Dog poster in 1966.
