"I wanted to focus on a forest scene for this and try to capture some of the natural earthy imagery that the Dead might conjure up in our minds. I remember coming up with the general idea for this poster several years ago and thinking ‘if I ever do a Grateful Dead poster, this is what I’ll do’. So it’s awesome to finally bring this to life! I’ve been a fan since I was a teenager and a friend shared Workingman’s Dead with me, and it remains my favorite studio album of theirs to this day. The things that they’ve accomplished and the way that they’ve influenced and shaped modern music is pretty amazing and if you’ve never seen the documentary Long Strange Trip I highly recommend it." - LS
