About this poster
This is a surreal and psychedelic art print titled Drift Out by artist Marq Spusta. The image depicts a fantastical underwater-like scene with multiple mushroom or jellyfish-like formations that have human eyes embedded within their teal bodies. These eye-bearing structures have maroon/reddish caps adorned with small yellow lantern-like elements, and long flowing golden-brown tendrils extending downward.
Small white figures or creatures appear to be floating or swimming among the tendrils, seemingly being carried by or interacting with this bizarre ecosystem. In the surrounding purplish-gray background, there are spiral cone-shaped entities that resemble nautilus shells and small celestial or aquatic elements scattered throughout the composition.
The print has a limited edition numbering visible in the corner and is signed by the artist. The artwork uses UV reactive ink, which would create a glowing effect under ultraviolet light.
This image was previously used for a Ghosts of the Forest Los Angeles 2019 poster, and several micro character prints were derived from this original artwork. The same image has been printed on various paper types.
