"The Primitive Parts is an exploration into the portion of our minds that reacts to visceral stimuli, a level below the subconscious, what's commonly referred to as the lizard or reptile Brain. We all have had experiences that hit us so deeply it feels transcendental, almost otherworldly. Seeing your favorite band in concert, viewing a particularly powerful work of art, being enveloped by the love of a family member - I like to think of these moments as giving our inner reptile a little tickle. Waking him/her up, heightening our senses and allowing us, for a brief time, to experience the present and live in the moment." - AJ
