This is contextualized in the concert scene at a time when ticket sales are at their most gentrified ever. The baker boomers dream of scoring a NYE ticket as though it were Willy Wonka’s winning wrapper. Those lucky enough to attend must first bow to the scalping tycoons. Venue capacity is the new gold standard.
The edition number of 1,000,000,000 is a playful nod, forcing observation of the abstract absurdity of a number that is often discussed in news, but seldom witnessed in practicality.”
