About this poster
We were commissioned to do this John Mayer gigposter by the venue. Connie and I did our research on John Mayer and found out when he saw Marty McFly play guitar in Back to the Future that's when he wanted to play guitar. We found this image of Marty in our Starlog magazine archive and we put this together. The staff at the venue ( that is now called Bridgestone Arena ) frames the gigposters we do and presents them to the band. From time to time we hear back the bands reaction. The story we got back from this poster was one of the best. When John Mayer took the stage he said "you might not dig it but your kids are going to love it."
