Born and raised in Los Angeles, Thomas Lynch III was surrounded by various manifestations of Hollywood. Going to the movies and analyzing story held the same cultural relevance as trips to the museum followed by conversations surrounding the place that art has in society. This led Lynch to a life of painting and drawing. As a young adult he started as an intern, working his way through the production side of the industry at Cartoon Network until he was ready to design. Lynch has developed his technique through the world of illustration, adapting this work ethic to his own compositions. His paintings tell a story, while engaging the viewer’s imagination to see beyond what is perceivable.
